It took two attempts and a fair bit of patience but I was rewarded with nice views of four Penduline Tits at West Rise Marsh in Eastbourne this morning - a county tick for me and by far my best experience of the species in Britain. There were three very smart males and a female, quietly picking at the fluffy reedmace heads.
