Garden Honey

Last Friday a lazy breakfast in the garden became incredibly lively when alarm calls from the gulls alerted me to a juvenile Honey Buzzard which circled a couple of times before heading south, out to sea! It is bound for southern Africa and could have hatched this summer in Sussex (where an incredible 60 adults were located by fieldworkers this year) or all kinds of places beyond.
