Late autumn already!

Writer's picture: WildstartsWildstarts

Autumn migration goes by too quickly! Already most migrant birds that were breeding in Britain this summer will have left, and now we are seeing birds from further north and east in Europe moving through Sussex.

It's a time to look out for thrushes and finches, and some of the scarcer migrant warblers (such as Yellow-browed).

This autumn is turning out to be extraordinary for the influx of Hawfinches, which seems like something of a repeat of the incredible showing from this enthralling species 2017.
