Little Ringed Plover

Writer's picture: David CampbellDavid Campbell

I took Bentham on the dog-friendly route around Pulborough Brooks today, where a Little Ringed Plover was on the North Brooks, my first 'proper' spring migrant of the year. There were plenty of Chiffchaffs singing too, and these will have recently arrived too, but we do get these in the winter as well. Other highlights included a superb male Kestrel, a distant Peregrine Falcon watching over the brooks and a herd of Fallow Deer.
